The week before Christmas is always an exciting time and Santa on Patrol is a well anticipated event. Santa and his First Responder Elves assist the Monument Police Department and Fire District for their annual Toys for Tots delivery. New and unwrapped toys are collected through donations, and in an after-school December 18th event, were delivered to the Tri-Lakes community families by Santa and all his helpers.
Dressed in Holiday accessories, EIS volunteers add to the festivities by providing “Pop Up Stations” serving Hot Chocolate and of course a delicious pile of marshmallow topping. The children and their families are delighted with this extra good cheer. EIS joined the Patrol in our very own bright red rig, following in Parade style to the prearranged neighborhood stops.

This year an unexpected very green guest showed up to entertain the children and adults alike! Santa shared the event with the Grinch who almost stole the show! There is truly nothing like seeing the smiles of parents and the joy on the faces of the surprised and delighted children.
It is an honor for Emergency Incident Support to be invited to assist our First Responders and appreciate our relationship with both the local Fire and Police Departments. EIS received a sincere, “Thanks so much for participating. We are looking forward to a fun event!” from Officer K Fisher, Community Resource Officer Monument Police Department. It was fun, rewarding and it warmed the heart to participate.
We at EIS invite you to consider coming along side us to check out our annual calendar events and volunteer opportunities to join in our support of our mission to, “ Serve those Who Serve.”
